Does online therapy work?

Since the 2020 crisis, video calls have become a common, effective, and flexible way of working together. But does this approach work for therapy too?

My answer is: Absolutely, yes!
Online sessions can be just as deep and effective as meeting in my office. That initial “wired” feeling of connecting through a screen quickly fades. Many clients actually find video sessions more convenient—and if you’re outside Latvia, it’s the only way to work with me.

Even for local clients, video consultations are a great solution when in-person meetings aren’t possible. Many choose to alternate between virtual sessions and face-to-face visits, depending on what fits best at the time.

I also have good experience working with couples who are in different locations. In those cases, we simply use a group video call—easy and effective.
